Yana

I took my first Kundalini Yoga Class in 2009 from Gurmukh at Golden Bridge, Los Angeles and was hooked. Kundalini Yoga complemented my martial arts discipline and group fitness teaching background, providing much needed self-integration. I completed Teacher Training at Golden Bridge in May of 2011, taught by Gurmukh, Gurshabd, Tej, Harijiwan and Sat Siri. Acquiring knowledge from different points of view and gaining exposure to a buffet of experiences and tools allowed me much freedom in exploring where Kundalini Yoga would land with me. I continued doing my own practice, diving into research, and gaining knowledge beyond what I was taught.

The Kundalini Yoga community and my own life have gone through much challenge and change since then and this self-integration is what continues to support me.

What you can expect from my class:

  • I come prepared with at least two options for kriya and meditation but ultimately allow the energy in the room to dictate what needs to come through in class.
  • I offer longer meditations and finish class with gong or recorded musical layout.
  • I like to jump in and start class, often not speaking much before or throughout except for introductions and providing the proper class flow cues and execution.

I look forward to meeting you!
